Before the upcoming FIS Cross-Country Skiing World Cup season, the national team had a press conference to introduce the 2024/25 lineup that will compete for World Cup points. The athletes presented their goals for the season alongside the coaching staff and Tosidos, the new main team sponsor, was introduced. But that is not the only novelty that Cross Country team will start the season with. Team will also be wearing new apparels from our new partner Sportful.

Ola Vigen Hattestad, Head Coach of the Cross-Country Team, talking about the team:
" Nejc Štern, Miha Ličef, Miha Šimenc, and Anja
Mandeljc already have secured places on the team and we may add others later.
The World Championships in Trondheim is definitely season’s highlight. And of course,
there’s the Tour de Ski, with Toblach so close to Slovenia. Preparations for the season have
gone well; everything has gone smoothly, just as we hoped. We faced a few challenges, but
that’s part of the process, and overall, things balanced out. Now we need to adjust to the snow
and competitions. Early on, our expectations will be modest"

Eva Urevc : "I’ve put in a lot of training. This year, I’ve been more attuned to my body, and so far,
everything is going according to plan. I have specific goals I want to achieve, and I want to
approach each race with joy and ease, enjoying what I do. I believe I’m capable of much more
than I’ve shown, even to myself. I really want to enjoy the whole journey"

Anja Mandeljc: "My major goal this year is to complete the Tour de Ski. The World Championship is a single event, one day, all in that moment. So, I prefer setting broader goals, like the overall Tour de Ski ranking".
Miha Ličef: "hope to improve on last year’s results and show more consistency. I aim to be competitive every race weekend". For Vili Črv: "This year’s plan is different from last year’s, and I’m very excited for the season. I hope we’ll have a winter that allows for lots of races and enjoyment. I’ll skip the first races in Scandinavia, focusing on Central Europe in December and training in Planica and Austria beforehand. Hopefully, conditions will be favorable".
Anže Gros: "Preparations have gone smoothly, and I’m very excited for the new season and the first races in Norway". For Nejc Štern: "Last year’s results are a big motivation. I can’t wait to continue and show what I’m capable of right from the start of the season".
