CHRIS COSENTINO AND JEREMY FISH BRING YOU THE TORTOISE AND THE HARE

Together with Brand Ambassador Chris Cosentino, Sportful is proud to announce the Limited Edition Tortoise and the Hare Collection.

THE TORTOISE AND THE HARE

Sportful proudly presents the collaboration between longtime friends Chef Chris Cosentino and Artist Jeremy Fish in September 2022. With intricate designs reminiscent of wallpaper, the new Tortoise and Hare Collection perfectly encapsulates Bay-Area-cool while delivering the high end performance Sportful customers expect.

Chef, cyclist, and philanthropist Chris Cosentino collaborated with celebrated San Francisco- based artist, Jeremy Fish, to bring to life the story of the Tortoise and the Hare, adding a surprising California twist and a bit of comedy to the design.

The limited edition pieces reflect the personality (and signature look) of the celebrity chef and cyclist, who suggests the valuable life lesson taught by The Tortoise and the Hare is not as simple as "slow and steady wins the race". In his opinion, the tortoise and hare each stay true to themselves in the age-old tale, making them both winners.

"In real life, the Hare wins, and the Tortoise is last, but I see it a different way. They both win their own way; the Hare goes full gas, head-down from start to finish, while the Tortoise chooses to be a diesel engine, stays true to his pace, and enjoys the journey. It's fun to be the Hare sos, but I say let's all be a little more likmetimee the Tortoise and remember it's about the journey to get there and enjoying the ride, not the final destination".

The iconic wallpaper-like pattern of the jersey features the busts of Northern Californian animals, the boar and the quail, along with the Tortoise and the Hare, all framed in wreaths of poison oak. Cosentino tapped his longtime friend, Jeremy Fish, for the project, who gave each animal the signature glasses and facial hair of the chef. The complimenting cycling cap peeks out from beneath the helmet, revealing the tortoise shell print. The cap perfectly completes the look while reiterating Cosentino's advice, to slow down and enjoy the journey. The result is eye- catching while remaining subdued, a must in the Bay Area.

Whether your ride begins at the pastry shop or the trail head, these pieces will tackle any conditions you throw at them, again reminding us that cycling is personal, and as long as you enjoy the ride, you already won.
