As a waterproof overshoe it’s almost like infinium is the wrong way round; water passes through them so easily it makes you wonder why you put them on in the first place. So if you want a waterproof overshoe don’t buy them. However as someone with a bit of an obsession for dry warm feet and having used many other brands (non of which are ever waterproof) these are the ones that have stood up to about 20,000kms+ of riding. It’s working out how to use them that is the trick; sub 15 degs I alway have them on. They make an excellent shoe protector, run summer shoes earlier in the season as they offer very good wind proofing, and protect winter boots from the grime. With a winter boot, a latex layer (velotoez in my case, which are extremely fragile) and these on top, you can easily get full waterproofing and happily warm feet for over 3hrs at 1 deg. It’s just a shame they don’t seem to come in orange anymore?

The Fiandre bootie is made with Gore-Tex Infinium fabric, which isn't waterproof. Furthermore, the shoecover is not heat-taped and for this reason we can't say that the bootie is waterproof but just water-repellent. The main feature of the fabric is its thermoregulation. In case of rain conditions in winter time, we would suggest you our Neoprene bootie. This bootie is more water resistant and using a fabric which isn't breathable it also keeps the heat inside.

Infinium fabric is not insulted and will bead water a bit but will soak out in rain. hard to get on, no room to layer under . Nice shoe cover but would be better if it where actually Waterproof.

Great - no surprise, it's Sportful

L size fits perfectly on my 43 shoe size (bont vaypor); water proof, very well breathability ... went cycling at -5° with it and feet felt way better (just fine) than with the silicone based ones I used before. Which were ok, too. But way thicker (touches crank arms), heavier. And especially, not breathable. That leads to cooling down after a while because the feet get wet from sweat.
These Sportful overshoes are the best fitting I have ever head. Don't see how it could be done better...
